Share your #FirstBabySelfie for WaterAid
Some of our favourite celebrities and bloggers are sharing their first baby pictures, to stand with mums and families around the world who don’t have access to clean, safe water. Whether you’re a mum, a dad, a son or a daughter, you can do the same!
Lots of us are lucky enough to have been born into a safe, clean environment – whether in hospital or at home – with midwives at the ready, partners and relatives on standby, and balloons in the corridor awaiting the new arrival.
But for many families in the world's poorest communities, bringing a new life into the world isn't the joyful experience it should be.
Every minute a newborn baby dies from infection caused by a lack of safe water and an unclean environment. It doesn't have to be this way.
That’s why we’ve launched our Deliver Life appeal, to reach 130,000 mums and their families with safe water, so that every baby has the best possible start in life – and there’s a simple way you can join us.

Share your #FirstBabySelfie for mums and families worldwide
You can join the famous faces standing with mums around the world – mums for whom delivering life is that bit harder, and that much more of a miracle.
Actress Claire Sweeney, Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie and TV presenters Jamie Theakston, Laura Hamilton and Clare Nasir are just some of the celebrities who’ve shared photos of themselves with their newborns, or as a baby, showing us they know how important it is for a baby to be born in a place with safe water and good hygiene.
Now we'd love you to do the same. Just share a snap of you with your newborn – or you as a baby – using #firstbabyselfie and text DELIVER to 70123 to give £3 to WaterAid.*
Don’t forget to ask your friends to do the same!
